The Rasta Review: May Edition
I hope all is well with each of you. With that said, I feel like putting meaning to this phrase “April showers bring May flowers.” So said, so done.
Let me get right to it by saying the Mile 62 brand came in with a bang with the Gelato flower. A hybrid that felt like an indica and that is testing very high, Gelato is sweet and features fruity and creamy flavors and aromas. I had a very good time with this strain; multiple interactions led me to a complete overstanding of the Gelato strain, affectionately known as “Larry Bird”. This is a great representation of the cultivar, with the taste, smell, and potency you want all together in harmony. My pick for a well-balanced hybrid is Crunch Berries. The high was energizing and euphoric, then gradually drifted toward a state of relaxation and time flow. Effects that I experienced were creativity, happiness, awareness, functionality, and peace. Overall, a pleasant and full body high that brought contentment while still feeling active and alert. For a daytime uplift from a sativa cultivar, I have been enjoying the Rev Farms Mimosa (lineage: Clementine x Purple Punch). It has given me an uplifting way to start the day, calmly and mentally ready for the tasks at hand. Honorable mention goes to the Oompa Lumpa from Tree’s Company. It was new to me but not anymore; I will be looking out for this strain again. Oompa Lumpa brings an unfocused and deep peace, a typical indica in all effects, with a fading into blissfulness and transporting to a place where care dissolves and sedation happens. This strain packs a punch that can prove to be intense if overly indulged; the high builds and soon infests the rest of the body.
With April and 420 behind us in the rearview mirror, let us look to the future, which looks beautiful and bright, and you are sure to find any flower to suit your needs.
